Address delivered before the annual meeting of the New-York Historical Society by Major General dePeyster. Part of a paragraph on page 4 is crossed out, but still legible. Also a sentence on page 6 is crossed out, but still legible. Gives an account of the build-up to the Battle of Nashville, as well as the battle itself. Originally wrappers and stab stich binding. Speaks positively about Union Major General George H. Thomas.
