Invites his sister-in-law, her husband James William Paige, his son Daniel Fletcher Webster, his daughter-in-law Caroline Story White Webster, and possibly his son-in-law, James' business associate Samuel Appleton to dinner with Mr. Homestead (likely a friend of Webster's family).

Sunday Morning
My Dear Mrs Paige:
I was most happy to accept your invitation to dine with your family, today: but when I cam h ome last Evening, Mr. Homestead was very desirous that he might be allowed, on his own [illegible], to make a little [2] little dinner today, for myself & family friends. I have thought I would comply with this kind request, if you & Mr. Paige would come after Church, say about /4/ at 4, & would ask Fletcher & Caroline, & Mr. Appleton [3] Appleton unless he shall be kept at home by his friend, & perhaps Cordelia. What say you to this? - You need only put your night cap out side the curtain, & say "Aye" or "No".
