Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

A form letter stating that the return for ordnance and ordnance stores pertaining to I Company 58th Pennsylvania, has been reviewed and referred to the Secon Auditor. Includes a copy of Circular No. 42, from the Ordnance Office which provides advise on the use of ordnance returns.
