Also signed by Ann Pierce, Charles Wilkes, and Henry Brockholst Livingston. Records a sequence of ownership of a farm property. Pages 1 and 2 are the indenture of Ann Pierce selling a farm "on the south side of the Raritan River in the county of Somerset in the State of New Jersey about a mile and a half above the town of New Brunswick" to Hamilton on 30 April 1803. Certifies that he may sell the land and use the proceeds to pay a bond of Nathaniel Pendleton and John Bard. Page 3 is Hamilton's indenture, which includes his name written five times, signed and sealed by Hamilton and witnessed by Thomas L. Ogden, selling the farm to Wilkes. Also on page 3-4 is an autograph note signed by Wilkes and dated 25 June 1804 releasing title of the property to Charles Henry Stone of New Jersey. Page 4, dated 8 December 1818, is a statement verifying the document, which is written and signed by Livingston.

Pendleton practiced law in NY and served as second in Hamilton's duel against Burr on 11 July 1804. Ogden was Hamilton's law partner. Livingston was Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States 1806-1823.

This Indenture made the thirtieth day of April on the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & three Between Ann Pierce of the City of New York of the one part and Alexander Hamilton of the same place Esquire of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Ann Pierce in consideration of the sum of one dollar to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by her, Hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents Doth grant, bargain, and sell unto the said Alexander Hamilton his heirs and assigns all that certain, farm, tract and parcel of land, on the soth side of the Rariton river in the County of Somerset in the State of New Jersey, about a mile and a half above the town of Brunswick, being the same farm, land, houses hereditaments and appurtenances that were conveyed unto the said Ann Pierce by conveyance from George Ker and Mary his wife according to certain notes and bounds therein mentioned, containing one hundred acres & two tenths of an acre street measure
Together with all and singular woods, ways, waters watercourses, houses, buildings improvements rights members hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or appurtaining; and the reversion and reversions, remainder [2] and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof and of every part thereof, and also, all the estate right, title and interest of the said Ann Pierce in Law or Equity, To have and to hold the said lands tenements hereditaments and appurtenances, and all and singular the premisses unto the said Alexander Hamilton and his heirs and assigns forever - In trust nevertheless to grant, bargain, sell and convey the said lands to any person or persons, for the best price that can be got for the same, at auction or otherwise, and to apply the proceeds thereof to the payment satisfaction and discharge of the interest, and principal of a certain bond of the said Nathaniel Pendleton together with the said Alexander Hamilton and John Bard as his sureties payable to John E LeConte of the City of New York In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the day and year first written.

[3] This Indenture made the Twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and four between Alexander Hamilton of the City of New York Counsellor at Law of the first part and Charles Wilkes of the same City, Gentleman of the other Part. Witnesseth that the said Alexander Hamilton in consideration of the sum of one Dollar to him in hand paid by the said Charles Wilkes the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Charles Wilkes his heirs and Assigns All that certain farm tract and parcel of land in the deed hereunto annexed from Ann Pierce particularly mentioned and described together with all and singular the buildings improvements easements privileges rights members and appurtenances therefor thereunto belonging and therewith used and employed And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders rents issues and profits thereof And also all the Estate right title and interest of the said Alexander Hamilton in law and Equity To have and to hold the said Lands tenemements appurtenances and premisses unto the said Charles Wilkes his heirs and Assigns for ever. And the said Alexander Hamilton for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth convinant to and with the said Charles Wilkes his heirs and Assigns that he hath done no act matter or thing whereby the premisses hereby bargained and sold shall or can be charged or incumbered or the title or Estate thereon defeated. In Witness whereof the said Alexander Hamilton hath hereunto subscribed and set his hand and seal the day and year full above-mentioned.

I Charles Wilkes, in consideration of five shillings to me paid by Charles Henry Stone of New Jersey, Do hereby declare unto him all right title interest & claim to the lands mentioned in the within deed to hold, to him & his heirs for ever. City of New York B: on the eighth day of December 1818 before me M: Livingston an associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States came Charles Wilkes, to me known who acknowledged that he had execute the preceeding deed-pole to Charles Henry Stones - at the same time appeared Thomas Ludlow Ogden, also to me known who being duly sworn did say that he saw Alexander Hamilton execute the deed written on the other side, & that he the said Thos. L. Ogden. did set his name and a subscribing witness to such execution - on the 9th day of December 1818 also appeared William Ogden, who is likewise known to me, & made oath that he saw Ann Pierce execute the deed written on the first & second pages of this sheet & that he & W. Duer set their names as witnesses to such execution
