Colonel Scammon reports on an informant, "John H. Patterson, Little Meadows-Fayette Co. Says that 130 Secesh troops Inf & Cav were at Knapp's Mill on Lick Creek on Tuesday." Asks him to find out more about this information. States that these men might be captured if they are surprised when going by Richmond's Ferry. Year inferred from Scammon's rank as Colonel.
