[draft]
West Point 16th Octr 1783

Dear Sir
In our arrangements for fire wood, we omitted to provide for Stony and Verplanks points. It is probable I shall determine next week, upon the Troops who shall remain at those places through the winter. If so, could they not get their own wood, from some place in the vicinity? If you will point out places I will direct them to get their own fuel.
I am dear Sir
your humble Servt
