Addresses the application de Broglio sent on behalf of his friend, the Baron de Valletiere, for Valletiere's membership into the Society of the Cincinnati. Informs de Broglio that the decision for membership will not be decided until the next general meeting which will take place the following year.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your favor of the 13 February respecting the admission of the Baron de Vallentine as a member of the order of the Cincinnati -
Your letter was submitted to the last genl meeting held during the month of May in Philadelphia but there were considerations of such a nature as to postpone the decision of the admission of all the members proposed until the next genl meetig to be held in the city of Philadelphia in May 1788
The wishes of your gallant and respectable friend the baron will then be considered and decided on
