[draft] New York 11th Novr 1787
Dear Sir
I have at my disposal some excellent Lands on the bay and river of Penobscot, St Georges & Medumcook rivers & within one two & three miles of the same
These Lands are perfectly well timbered with pine, birch, beech, Maples & other good woods. They are in an excellent climate for health, and well suited to cultivation of all kinds in the same manner as the Lands around Boston.
These Lands are valued by me at two dollars hard money p acre being the same price at which they were sold previous to the late War.
Should you in any of your peregrinations find any Gentlemen of adequate capitals disposed to purchase in that county [2] I will sell them any quantity from one to eighty thousand acres and give them perfect titles to the same
One half of the purchase money to be paid down on the execution of the deeds and the other half within seven years with legal interest
The navigation to all these Lands is admirable
I have just understood that you are on the point of sailg therefore I must beg your Excuse for this hasty scrawl. I wish you a good voyage and every success
