Dear Sir -
It is proper I inform you Colonel Smith has paid the draft in my favour - I was in hopes of a line from you by this days Post - I want further information relative to Mr Binghams acceptances in my hands, on this subject I have before address'd you - I want also to know the state of the scantling, you engaged to supply me with - the season is approaching in [struck: which if] [inserted: which] building commences - Materials are so fallen that I think if my lumber is ready I shall proceed with my House - Please to write me fully on this subject - In great at haste -
