Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Writes that he is unsure whether judgment will be rendered in a case for or against Knox, or whether judgment will be postponed. Believes that if judgment is rendered against Knox, the judgment will not be executed before 15 December. Promises to communicate to Knox any more information he might learn.
