Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Lists accounts to the Thomas Flucker estate from 1746-1774, including land as well as notes, bonds, and mortgages owed to Flucker. The real estate was valued at £4947.9.7 1/2. The other items in the estate brought the full value to £5806.19.7 1/2. Date added later in pencil.
