Writes concerning the Waldo patent and a "petition of sundry of the heirs of Brig Genl Waldo for remission of certain taxes upon the patent." States that someone will assess the land and the tax. Letterpress copy.
Sullivan was a State court judge in Massachusetts. Although he was elected to represent Massachusetts at the Continental Congress from 1782 to 1783 he did not attend. He was the Republican Attorney General of Massachusetts and in 1801 prosecuted the Dedham murderer Jason Fairbanks. He has also served as the Governor of Massachusetts. The Waldo Patent was an area of land in what is now the U.S. state of Maine belonging to General Samuel Waldo, the grandfather of Lucy Knox.
