Yancey informs Hamilton, of Mobile, Alabama, that he has been absent from the circuit, and upon his return found several letters from Hamilton. Discusses a case involving E. Hanrick, Esq. (possibly Edward Hanrick), Hurlbut, and the settlement of a large estate.
Yancey was a United States Representative from Alabama 1843-1846. He was a Confederate commissioner to Europe and a Confederate Senator during the Civil War.
