Survey of the Shenandoah River for an arsenal site written as Secretary of State.

War Office Dec. 14. 1795.
Dear Sir,
Col. Rochefontaine, on his return from Shenandoah, mentioned that Col Glilpin was to send a survey of the river & plan of the parts supposed to be proper for the site of an arsenal; on the receipt of which he would complete his remarks on the subjects Nothing has yet been received from Colo Gilpin; and consequently the President is held in suspense If the expected plan & survey could be forwarded soon, I should be obliged.
I am with sincere esteem
Dear Sir
