At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. Summary of Content: Clarke appoints Philip Livingston to be third Lieutenant of the Independent Company of Militia Foot for the Manor of Livingston. Philip is therefore required to take the Company under his care and provide for them.
