At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

The account records to whom the flour was sold, the quantity, and what price was received. P.2 contains 2 more accounts. The first is "A General account of Merchandize recd. in 1769 from Robert Livingston Junr. for sale on his proper account and risk," and the second records cornel sold for the account of Robert Livingston.
