Writes to his friend from the 13th Army Corps apologizing for not getting back to him sooner. Written on Head Quarters, 13th Army Corps letterhead. Envelope is addressed to Maitland "near Young's Point," Louisiana.
Joseph Maitland enlisted on 8 August 1862 as a private. He was mustered into "G" Co. OH 95th Infantry. He was mustered out 31 May 1865 at Memphis, Tennessee.
