Lets his brother know that he anticipates arriving at Fort Monroe on Tuesday morning. Writes that he has stayed with their Uncle William in Brooklyn, New York.

Dear Brother I just drop a line to tell you that I expect to be at Fort Monroe on Tuesday morning by the Baltimore boat. I sent you from home but feared you might not get it in time I have got along nicely so far. Hope I shall be as fortunate hereafter. Staid our last night with Uncle wm at Brooklyn & had a regular Bresb. But I wont write more now Hoping to see you in the flesh soon I remain Your Aft Br Geo. O. Coit
