Introduces his son, Thomas Morris, and asks Brant to help negotiate the purchase of land owned by the Seneca Indians
Signer of the U.S. Constitution.
Morris helped found the Bank of North America, after which he speculated in land, ultimately losing his fortune. He was imprisoned for bankruptcy in 1798.
Brant was a Mohawk chief who sided with the British during the American Revolution. After the revolution his influence with different Indian tribes was used to broker peace Indians and whites.
