Assistant Attorney General, Jack Russell [his nephew].

with

20 June 1910, Washington
Dear Sam:
Your letter recd. you say the Attorney General hardly knew Russell. How did you find that out? I thought he knew him very well. Russell as an Asst. Atty. General was brought into daily contact with him & of course Russell knew him well & he knew Russell well. On the contrary or I was under Russell he kept me under over & I have never met Wickerson. When I called over a year ago for a minute to pay my respects. Who told you that he hardly knew Russell? Nobody can do anything for me; now do I consider it any stranger that the Administration should want to get rid of me there of anybody else.

Yours Truly
J.S. Mosby
