Gilder Lehrman Collection #: GLC05508.174 Author/Creator: Manners, David (fl. 1978-1987) Place Written: Santa Barbara, California Type: Typed letter signed Date: 1978-1987 circa Pagination: 1 p. + env. 27.9 x 21.5 cm Order a Copy

Actor David Manners writes about death and eternal existence as a response to Brock's "record of human horrors," apparently attempting to cheer him up. He mentions giving Alan Irene Rich's address, invites him to visit, and mentions names of some famous people that live in Santa Barbara. Signed with first name and a smiley face.

Notes: The date might be on the envelope. A previous cataloger listed it as [1979/10/22]. The letter must have been composed between 1978 and 1987, because that is when Manners lived at the address on the letterhead.
