"Dearest before, Thou Hast Suffered/More Than We Can Think or Tell..."

[Draft Created by Crowdsourcing]
Dearest Bessie, thou hast suffered
More than we can think or tell,
Gladly would we suffered for thee,
If it would have made thee well.

But thy sufferings, now are ended,
All thy pains, forever ceased,
But tis hard to yield thee Bessie,
In deaths cold and long embrace.

Arms more tender than those of Parents
Kindly circle thee around,
With the Diadem of Glory
Now thy little head is crowned.

Nellie M. Berry
