Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Sylvia saw the movie "Stand by for Action" which depicts Navy maneuvers. Sorry he is still not feeling well and the weather is lousy. Comments on his army training not being suited to his abilities, but then corrects herself by saying that she has no right to ask why the army is doing what it's doing.
