Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Moe wanted to see a movie but found out the camp movie was one they'd already seen, so he settled down to write instead. He writes that he really appreciates Sylvia's cooking now as well as Mad's. He agrees with her that "seconds" (in waiting) are hard but thinks "firsts" are worse.
