It rained that night, and Nellie slept very well. There was a party the previous evening for Bishop Palmer and his wife as they left August 2 for a trip to India and Washington, D.C. Nellie is leaving for Frankfurt to meet Rod and is excited to see where he lives. The plane out of Geneva was delayed because of mechanical issues, but she reunites with Rod and has a steak dinner with him. Dorothy and "Mom" are there.
