Autograph of a passenger and crew member who was aboard the zeppelin when it crashed in 1937; undated signature belonged to steward Alfred Groetzinger with one signature written with greeting, "Deiner Freund" meaning "Your Friend."
Alfred Groetzinger, at the time of the journey, was a 20-year-old cook aboard the Hindenburg. He also served on the LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin airship.
George Hirschfield, when aboard the Hindenburg, was a 35-year old cotton broker and a partner at the firm Lentz and Hirschfield, which his father established.
