Informs that he has created a National Labor Board to function under the National Industrial Recovery Act as an agency to investigate controversies concerning labor relations. Appoints Lewis a member of the National Labor Board and hopes that he will accept. Written on White House stationary. Addressed to Lewis at the Carleton Hotel, Washington, D.C.
Lewis was President of the United Mine Workers union.
