Concern over Jeffery and his family's poor health and that of Woodlief's own family's poor health in the fall. Also, asks about the possibility of Jeffery making a confidential recomendation for a friend of Woodlief's to a Mr. Tho[mas] Newton for the position of Collector of the Port of Norfolk.
