Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

Certifies that all of the signers were present at a court hearing which found Samuel Waldo "guilty of Injustice, unfaithfullness [sic] in his Trust, Fraud & Cruelty in refusing to make due Payments to [diverted ?] Persons..." Also mentions William Shirley. Signed by James Allen, Nathaniel Bethune, Samuel Cary, Isaac Winslow, and others.
