Written from camp near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Letter of introduction for Abraham Lott, Esquire. Lott was from New York City but was living in New Jersey.
Seller's notes: Henry Bromfield was the brother in law of John Singleton Copley, the famous American painter. This letter was written at the worst time in the American Revolution when our troops suffered from a severe winter in late 1777-1778.
