Montgomery. Ocr. 14 1782
My Dear Sir
Hunt had requested an Arbitration & Capt Bayard in some Measure consented - Such a measure had been spoken of before I came to Albany, but I consider'd it as a scheme to gain time - Since the bonds were signd he has declared that he will not abide by the award unless it pleases him - but the penalty is € 200 - I shall communicate the issue to you as soon as possible which I imagine will be - a Suite upon the Bond- Nothing at all stirring in this corner of ye world- I was among the great ones of the earth lately & they yet Auger peace- I pray you present my most sincere & respectful compliments to my good Friend Mrs Burr- & Mrs Malcolm also - most Sincerely Yours
W Malcolm
