Received his recent letter. Discusses a potential financial arrangement Knox proposed regarding a Mr. B., as well as a Mr. Morris and Colonel [Jeremiah] Wadsworth. Also discusses a sum of money loaned to Madame Leval (he spells it "Laval") by Colonel [Benjamin] Walker, and mentions the involvement of Colonel [William] Duer. Comments on the purchase of townships in Maine, in and around the Waldo patent lands.
