One letter from Susan Prowell Graeff and Raymond James Graeff to Leonard Eugene Graeff dated November 2, 1943. Susan writes that it took quite a while to convince Raymond to write a letter. She said he didn't know what to write about so she gave him some pointers and told him that he should be able to write a "nice long letter" with his new pen. Also Leonard was right Raymond did write him in Indiantown Gap even though Raymond doesn't remember it. Susan says she misses the fall, the leaves aren't pretty colors but maybe it will be better next year. Susan also comments on the gas situation, there is some available but who knows how much. She writes, "We were over to Hutton's several week's back, and you know your dad. We were able to make two trips since that. Otherwise we could not have done so. Do you understand?" Susan is planning to clean the cellar, and then the whole house will be done. She hopes to put up wall paper in two rooms. She reports that Fuzzie is going to Officer Training School. She asks Leonard to let them know when he will be arriving on the train so they might meet him.
