Our Collection

At the Institute’s core is the Gilder Lehrman Collection, one of the great archives in American history. More than 85,000 items cover five hundred years of American history, from Columbus’s 1493 letter describing the New World through the end of the twentieth century.

The magazine is dedicated to the woman's suffrage movement and contains a series of articles that are both political and informational regarding suffrage and general politics. Of particular interest is an article by Kate M. Gordon on States rights, a bill for suffrage in Mississippi, and articles about the current status of suffrage.
