Documenting the Revolutionary War service of four African-American soldiers, Prince Green, Pharoah Hazard, Vaughn Prince and Bristol Rhodes. Hazard served in the 1st RI Reg. Rhodes served with RI troops in 1776 and 1778, and lost a leg at Yorktown. Prince is known to have served with RI troops in 1776. Green is known to have served with the 1st RI in 1778.
